מֽוֹעֲדִ֜ים

Break down of the word: Base (singular) מוֹעֵד  the ים im makes it plural..

The KJV translates Strong's H4150 in the following manner: congregation (150x), feast (23x), season (13x), appointed (12x), time (12x), assembly (4x), solemnity (4x), solemn (2x), days (1x), sign (1x), synagogues (1x).

Root:

Root Word (Etymology)

From יָעַד (H3259)    yāʿaḏ

The KJV translates Strong's H3259 in the following manner: meet (7x), together (5x), assemble (4x), appointed (3x), set (3x), time (2x), betrothed (2x), agreed (1x), appointment (1x), gather (1x).

Betrothed as in the Wedding of the Bridegroom (Christ) and His People (Church)?

Adding ם  to the front of a Hebrew word (Hebrew is written right to left) brings the meaning of from:  So what comes from a betrothal? A time and place for the actual event (wedding), date and time and place, invitation (invitees) and perhaps even auxiliary events like a bridal shower etc.

“….Determining the date for Passover:..The Jewish calendar year begins in late September or early October with the celebration of Rosh Hashana. …. The new moon marks the beginning of each month with the full moon occuring halfway through the month. The seventh month in a normal Jewish calendar year is the month of Nisan (also called Abib in the Old Testament). Passover is celebrated on the 14th day of Nisan at the time of the full moon.

Spring Moedim

Passover – Pesach  פֶּסַח

Feast of Unleavened Bread – Hag HaMatzot   הַמַּצּוֹת

The first of Israel’s seven annual festivals is a one-day festival, the Passover. It is followed immediately by the second of Israel’s festivals, the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Since the Feast of Unleavened Bread begins the very next day, these two festivals are often thought of as one long eight-day festival

First Fruits – Yom Habikkurim ראשׁית קציר

takes place on the day after the weekly Sabbath in which the Passover falls. ……this single omer (sheaf) of firstfruits symbolizes Yeshua, who was the first of the firstfruits to be raised from the dead

Festival of Weeks (Pentecost) – Shavuot  חָג שָׁבֻעֹת

Shavuot is also known as the Feast of Weeks (shavuot means "weeks").  In Christian nomenclature it is often called Pentecost (which comes from the Greek word pentekostes meaning "fiftieth").  It occurs about 50 days (7 X 7 weeks) after Passover.  In this moed we can see the Most High giving the Law at Mt. Sinai and then giving the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem 1,500 years later.

Shavuot is the second of the three pilgrimage festivals when all Israelite males are to appear before the Lord G-D, the G-d of Israel (Exodus 34:22-23).

Shavuot is also called the Day of the First Fruits or Yom Habukkurim (Numbers 28:26) which is from the latter harvest.

Fall Moedim

Feast of Trumpets – Yom Teruah (יוֹם תְּרוּעָה) (Rosh Hashanah) רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה

Yom Teruah is sometimes called 'the feast of which no man knows the day or the hour' because, like the Head of the Year, we cannot know in advance the day or the hour it will begin. Rather, we must wait until Yahweh shows us the first crescent sliver of His new moon.

https://nazareneisrael.org/book/torah-calendar/the-day-of-trumpets-yom-teruah/

This is oftentimes translated as the ‘Day of Trumpets’, although it actually translates more like the ‘Day of Blowing,’ or the ‘Day of Shouting.’ Strong’s Concordance tells us that the word ‘Teruah’ (תְּרוּעָה) refers to an acclamation of joy, especially of trumpets, and also as a cry of battle, or an alarm.

Rosh Hashanah is a two-day observance and celebration that begins on the first day of Tishrei, which is the seventh month of the ecclesiastical year. In contrast to the ecclesiastical lunar new year on the first day of the first month Nisan, the spring Passover month which marks Israel's exodus from Egypt, Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the civil year, according to the teachings of Judaism, and is the traditional anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman according to the Hebrew Bible, as well as the initiation of humanity's role in God's world. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosh_Hashanah)

Day of Atonement – Yom Kippur יוֹם הַכִּפּוּרִים

In the Hebrew calendar, the ninth day of Tishri is known as Erev Yom Kippur (Yom Kippur eve). Yom Kippur itself begins around sunset on that day and continues into the next day until nightfall, and therefore lasts about 25 hours. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Holy_Days#Yom_Kippur) .

Feast of Tabernacles – Sukkot הַסֻּכּוֹת

The 15th day of the 7th month is the start of Sukkot / the Feast of Tabernacles. Sukkot is a 7 day feast in which we are commanded to dwell in booths.

the day Messiah returns to dwell [tabernacle] among His people for a thousand years.  This "return of the King" is something for which believers have been yearning for almost two thousand years.

In Hebraic thought, a sukka is different than a tent. In ancient times, tents were typically larger structures that families could live in, which were oftentimes moved on carts with donkeys, or with camels. In contrast, the Hebrew word for a tent is an ‘oh-hel’ (אֹהֶל), while the word for a tabernacle or a booth is ‘sukka’ (סֻכָּה). The plural of sukka is sukkot (סֻּכֹּת).

But what do sukkot represent? We find sukkot in Scripture whenever Yahweh’s people have just escaped from some grave and intense danger. For example, after Esau came out with four hundred men to kill Jacob, and Yahweh delivered Jacob from the crisis, Jacob then journeyed to a place called Sukkot, where he then built sukkot for his livestock

…The timing of the feast, held in the fall around the time of the yearly harvest or in-gathering, pointed both backward to the time when God gathered Israel out of Egypt and forward to the time of “the final harvest when Israel’s mission should be completed, and all nations gathered unto the Lord.” [9] Thus, Israelites who gathered to the temple in Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles were inundated with festivities and symbols that inspired thoughts on a variety of themes, such as deliverance (past and future), the coming of the Messiah, and the eventual gathering of all God’s children to him.   … They were to dwell in these booths all week so they would always remember that the Lord “made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when [he] brought them out of the land of Egypt” (Leviticus 23:43).   …to prepare them to return to God’s presence.   …God instituted these sacrifices was to signify the “great and last sacrifice,” which would accomplish the “infinite atonement which will suffice for the sins of the world” (see Alma 34:9–14).    ….the water from Siloam symbolized the cleansing and sanctification necessary to prepare one to return to God.

Farrell & Rhonda Pickering

Farrell states that God set up these dates/times or markers on His calendar as reference points.  The vision of Daniel was locked up for the latter days.  Aligning the days given in the book of Daniel with God’s dates provides us with insight into the time of the end.  From His chart Daniel’s Hour of Judgment: He has two 7 year periods one for America (2nd half of what the chart shows as a 14 year period for America) starting 3.5 years prior to the One for Israel. (Not sure why)

Dates of the Daniel’s Hour of Judgment chart:

American 14 year events:

First 7 year periods starts with the complete US eclipse 7/21/2017 (7 year preparation: Pharaoh’s dream for Egypt)

American 2nd 7 year period (2nd half of 14 year) starts with the 2nd eclipse event in America (4/8/2024) start of 7 years for Rachel: Jacob’s trouble in America. Rapture happens at the end of these 7 years putting it at the Mid Point (Mid Trib) of Israel’s 7 year period.
